This year has been amazing for my artist side. I've been setting the goal of "make more art" for the last three years. But I always pushed it aside for blogging. But in January I started following a ton of artist YouTubers and I have been creating more art than I ever have. In 2018 I did a decent amount of digital art but this year I've been diving head first into the traditional art. Since this is the first time I've really gotten into traditional art I've gotten a lot of art supplies over the last 2 and half months. So I wanted to share my supplies as a budding artist.
Something I've decided about myself is that I want to stop supporting the mistreatment of animals as much as I can this year. I've started the road to Vegetarianism. I also decided to steer my makeup collection in the cruelty-free direction as well.
Recently I started my Wiccan Journey. I have been loving it so far. It feels like I was always meant to find it. The reviews really aligned with mine and I've always been interested in the Occult and astrology. I was pulled toward it since the moment I clicked play on Harmony Nice's video. So today I wanted to share some of the first questions I had when diving into Wicca.
So I took quite a break from doing reviews. I'm not entirely sure why but I just found that I had to push myself to write them. I dreaded sitting down to write them. So I just pushed them to the back set. But I'm finally ready to come back and do come every now and them. I thought that it was only fitting to come back with my favourite product type lippies!
So when I was writing my A-Z one year later post I realized I've only really talked about Salem in a Diary Entry. I've never made him his own post. So please read on if you want a flood of kitten photos and fluffy cutesy nicknames.
I can't believe that it's been over a year since I started my A-Z series. I've been having so much fun with these posts. Christmas and Halloween and characters! It's been really interesting to see what words I come up with. I"m a firm believer that people are in a constant state of change. We aren't the same person we were 5 years ago, 1 year ago, 6 months ago and maybe even a month ago. So today I thought it'd be fun to do another A-Z and then look back on my first post and see what's changed.
It's been 3 months since my last diary entry. It doesn't feel that long and at the same time it feels longer. I honestly think working in the house all day doing the same thing all the time has really taken a toll on my time awareness.
Over the last few months, my depression has been getting the best of me. I was crying at Pizza commercials, damn you celiac!, I was sleeping a normal amount to a little bit more but I was still always tired. I recently started going to the doctor regularly because I was also losing fights with my allergies. I talked to about being tired and she asked about anxiety and depression, both are boxes I tick.
A couple of weeks ago I was watching Evan Edinger's newest video, School Games! American VS British with Harmony Nice. I really liked Harmony in the video so I went over to her channel. I watched a few videos then found her videos about Wicca. I'd heard of Wiccans a few times in TV and movies but I'd never learned about real Wiccans. Harmony's videos were so interesting. I started binging her Wicca videos and was drawn to it instantly. The more I watched, the more I wanted to become a Wiccan.
Yesterday was my 21st birthday. Growing up you always expect to feel different on the big birthdays. But I'm still the same person I was on the 5th of February that I was on my birthday and that I am today. But I'm a "real adult" now. In the eyes of American law, I can do anything now. Well except rent a car. Gotta be 2 for that.
I've always been artistic in some way or another. I loved colouring books and being as real to the real colours as I could. I wanted the biggest box of crayons I could find. I've always doodled since I was a kid. I doodled hearts and animals. I used to love drawing the front of our house in great detail. And in middle school, I made splatter paintings in art class every chance I got.
In 2017 I decided to start writing about whatever I wanted. I didn't want to limit myself to just makeup. Makeup was a passion of mine for sure, but it wasn't all I wanted to write about. I actually started to lose passion for it. So I had to sprinkle in some more stuff.
