The tag addiction is back! I did a tag around Halloween and now I'm back with another! And this time it's to celebrate my second favourite season, winter! This is another tag of my own. I was hunting around for some winter themed tags that weren't mostly Christmas tags and couldn't find anything so I decided to make my own. So let's celebrate winter!

A-Z of Christmas | Blogmas 2018

A-Z posts are some of my favourite posts to do. The challenge of finding Q, X and Z words is so fun. I've done a bunch of these but now it's time for Christmas to get some love. If you haven't read one of these posts before basically, I write out all the letters and then write a word for each letter that comes to mind in the theme. It's such a fun game. I tend to write 1-3 words for each letter so let's see what happens today. So today I give you the A-Z of my Christmas!

Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time | Blogmas 2018

It's Christmas time again and I still can't believe that I did all 25 days of Blogmas last year. It gave me quite the blogger block for all of this year. I've struggled this year with a balance of blogging and Etsy work and me time. So that's why I've decided to take it easy and enjoy my Christmas season. I might do one or 2 posts in addition to this one but I'm going to take it easy until 2019. So I thought I'd do a little Christmasy diary post/storytime. Just talking about what I've been up to.

Let's Talk about Social Media Algorithms and the state of YouTube

Algorithms are our worst enemies now. On YouTube, you are sort of overlooked by the system if you make more than one type of content. On Instagram, it is unlikely your followers will see anything unless you post multiple photos a day and honestly they probably have something similar to the YouTube function. Or at the very least people prefer that an IG account have a theme and one topic like blog photos or fashion or photography. On Twitter, it's a bit more laid back but it's still sort of expected to have a sperate account for blog or Etsy or other promo types. If you have a blog and an Etsy store and are also on YouTube and into other hobbies, you can end up drowning in social media accounts. Well, I've decided to just say fuck it.

My Dream Tattoos

Bit of a different post today but I think it'd be fun. A fact about me I don't think I've shared here before, I have always wanted to get tattoos. My tastes have changed over the years and I am very grateful my mom didn't let me get the multicoloured nautical star tattoo I wanted when I was 15. I hate them now. I've grown to want tattoos that have meaning to me and have a special design. I've also fallen deeply inlove with watercolour tattoos.

Diary Entry 3

My least favourite part about blogging is writing these intros. I never know where to start. I always procrastinate writing because I don't want to write them. Am I alone in this? Anyway, these diary entries are kind of like a life update so let's talk about what's been happing with me.

My Halloween Party Playlist

From about August 1st until midnight on Halloween night I have a handful of Halloween and spoopy songs I listen to on a loop. I call it my Halloween Mix. Though I've never been to or thrown a Halloween Party. It's more of a dance party of one. But that doesn't matter. I love dancing to Halloweenie music. These are my favourites to dance to.

What I love about the Halloween Season

 

When I was a kid my parents decorated the house for many of the holidays. Easter had some Egg and bunny decals and plastic wall pieces. Valentine's Day had some heart decorations. Halloween and Christmas, on the other hand, went all out. For Halloween, we had rubber bats that hung from doorways. Wall decorations everywhere. There were peelable glass decals that went on the windows and on the fish tanks. The candle lights we always had in out window got changed for Halloween ones. We had classic jack 'o' lantern trick-or-treat buckets everywhere in an array of colours. We had fake spiders and webs.

The Halloween Tag 2

"This is Halloween! This is Halloween! Pumpkins scream in the dead of night!" That song has been on a constant loop in my brain since September 1st. Halloween is right on par with Christmas for my favourite time of the year. I did a Halloween Tag a couple years ago and I thought it'd be fun to do another one. These kinds of posts get me so excited for the season!

Maybelline Lemonade Craze Palette | First Impressions

I kind of fell in love with this palette when I saw it on Maybelline's twitter. The swatches were amazing! The pop of red and the rose gold were so amazing! They shared the photos like 2 months before the launch and I'm not going to lie I kind of forgot about it until I saw it on display at the store about a month ago. Then I remembered the swatches and was excited all over again!

Something about this time of year makes me crave warm and cosy things. Fuzzy blankets, hot cups of tea and hot cocoa, warm bowls of food. I've never been much of a soup person but I love chili. I love how warm it makes me feel. The spiciness of the chili powder and cumin. It's the perfect dish for the fall and winter time!
