I can't believe January is almost over! This month has gone by so fast! I can't believe how much I've uploaded this month! I've uploaded every other day! And there is still one more post coming this month!
It feels so weird to be writing a monthly favorites. My last monthly favorites was July 2016. Yeah.. I dropped the ball in 2016. But now I've back and uploading more than ever.
January has been a great month. I've uploaded more than I every have before and I'm loving it!
Here are some of other things I've been loving this month!
Let me start by saying I'm not a pro. I've only been doing this for a little over a year and a half. I barely uploaded last year. Who am I to give advice?
But in my Blogger Tag post one of the questions was about advice for new bloggers. After answering with a very long answer I realized I had a lot to say. I decided I wanted to do a full post about advice for new bloggers.
I have picked up a few things over the past year and a half and there are things I wish someone would have told me when I started.
So here are some things that I think might help you if you are a new blogger.
Today I thought it would be fun to do a tag. I haven't done a tag in awhile. In my typical fashion I couldn't find a "Blogger Tag" with questions I was happy with so I combined a couple and added a few questions of my own.
I mixed and matched and added until I found the collection of questions I was happy with.
Please feel free to do this tag on your blog or answer the questions in the comments below! I'd love to see your answers! All the questions are at the end of the posts.
I hope you enjoy the tag! Let's get to the questions!
Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette
This palette is Urban Decay's first matte palette. Urban Decay describes the six shadows as smooth, velvety, suede-like feel with a luxe finish that never looks chalky or powdery. Urban Decay says these shadows have "color that stays on your lids."
"While this palette is small, we loaded it with full-size shadow
pans, just like our other Naked palettes. Every shade features our
Pigment Infusion System™, a vehicle for color that holds tightly to
pigment and gives the formula its glide. The proprietary blend of
ingredients allows color to weave itself through the Eyeshadow formula.
What does all that mean? Insane color payout. Color that stays on your
lids. Sparkle that doesn’t fall. And velvety, suede-like smoothness and
blendability."

The Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette is available for $29 in the US at Ulta, Sephora. If you are in the UK it is available for £23 at Debenhams. You can also find it for $29 on urbandecay.com or find a store near you on UD's Store Locator.

One of the biggest challenges as a blogger is making a post cover photo. You need a good photo at the top of your post to grab people's attention. Make them want to see what your post is about.
When you share your post on most sites your cover photo will show up with your post name and the first few lines of text. A good cover photo could mean more people reading your post.
I finally uploaded my 2016 favorites on Monday so today I thought I'd share with you all my goals for 2017. I was originally going to make this about blogging goals only but then I thought of a couple goals I really wanted to include.
I debated on whether or no to do this post. I thought, who would want to read my goals? Why would anyone care? But I decided to write it anyway. I decided to do it for myself. If I write out my goals and post them here I have to hold myself to them. At least a little bit.
If I have them here I'll be more motivated to keep to them. So maybe no one will read this but I'll have these sort of like a promise to myself that I'm going to do, everything on my goals list for 2017, or at least try.
The time has come. We are almost 2 and half weeks into 2017. I have finally collected all my favorites of 2016 and I'm ready to write my 2016 favorites!
This might be a long one. I have a ton of life favorites and quite a few beauty ones too. This is a whole year of favorites after all. Not just a small amount from just one month.
So here are the things I loved in 2016!
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick by Kate Moss
Rimmel doesn't have much of a description on their site about this lipstick. Ulta's description says "Lasting Finish Lipstick by Rimmel London locks color to lips for up
to 8 hours wear. 50% more color. Soft, smooth, comfortable formula."
The Boots description says "Kate Moss brings colour to a new unique dimension. The gorgeous
colour richness and comfort of Kate’s lipstick, now in a Velvety Matte
finish. Ruby Powder enriched formula to intensify the colour while
keeping a matte finish all day long! Matte is re-invented for the most
velvety comfortable colour ever!"
So this lipstick promises to be soft, smooth, with great color and matte finish. Both descriptions say it is a comfortable and long wearing formula.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Matte Lipsticks are available in the US for $5.49 at Ulta, $3.29-$4.99 at Target and is also available most places where drugstore makeup is sold. It is available in the UK for £5.49 at Boots, Superdrug, ASDA, you can also find other locations in the UK on Rimmel's site.

I fell in love with reading when I was 13. Before that I hated it. Not really sure why I hated it so much. Maybe it's because my eyes twist up words after I read for awhile. Maybe it's my mild dyslexia. I don't really know but since I was 13 I have loved books and the way they can pull me into a whole new world.
Reading and writing became a huge passion for me. I usually read at least 15 books a year but last year I didn't read much. I decided I needed to set a reading goal for 2017 and make a list of books I need to read. I also set some blogging goals for this year as my reading and writing motivation was out the window in 2016.
I have a bunch of books that I got forever ago and haven't even opened them. I got Girl Online by Zoella when it first launched and it has just sat there waiting for me to read it, collecting dust.
I got a Kindle for Christmas and with tons of free classics and with kindle editions being cheaper than paperbacks I decided that 2017 needed to be the year I got back to reading.
Today I wanted to share my 2017 reading list with you guys. Partly for you guys to possibly give you something new to read and mostly so I have it written in stone to keep me motivated to read these books.
It's been too long since I've written a lippie post. The last one was my lippies for Christmas in 2015. I call myself a lippie addict but haven't done a lippie post in over a year, this can not stand. I think I'm going to try to upload one lippie post a month this year.
Lippie addicts unite! This blog is about to get all about lippies. Well all about lippies once a month anyway.
Today I thought I'd kick it off with lippies I am currently loving since it's been so long. So here are the lippies I have been obsessing over lately.
In December I found out that Urban Decay has a rewards program. I was beyond excited. I'm am a member at Ulta and Sephora so I was totally up for joining another program for free!
I've done a post in the past about Ulta and Sephora programs. You might want to check that out if you aren't familiar with their programs. I will probably be referencing their programs a lot in this post. As I will be comparing them a little bit.
Like Ulta and Sephora this rewards program is free to join. You can sign up on UD's website.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil
Urban Decay describes this eyeliner as creamy, forever-lasting, and waterproof. They say that it is "velvety-soft, and stays soft and creamy for blending (about 30 seconds), then dries down to a long-lasting finish that will not budge."
"Created with 50% moisturizing ingredients suspended in a sophisticated waterproof formula, 24/7 Eye Pencils offer long-lasting color and a dreamy, creamy feel when applied. With Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E and Cottonseed Oil."
