I'm really steering straight into sharing my depression story. It feels good getting it out. So today I wanted to talk about how depression has affected my self-care habits. I've been battling depression since I was 12 or 13. My most formative years were spent in a cloud of darkness and emptiness. So needless to say that had quite an effect on how my self-care habits formed.
There are so many paths in Wicca. It's really awesome to see something have so many ways of practising. Wicca supports so many beliefs. There is definitely something for everyone. All are anchored in the belief that we must respect and care for nature. That's what really drew me in to start. And now that I've decided to become a Wiccan I need to find my path.
It's been so so long since I've done a favourites post of any kind. Monthly posts just got to be too stressful to make. But today I decided to get into it and share some of the things that I've really liked recently. Mostly YouTubers and TV. I take breaks from beauty every once in a while.
Why oh why did I choose 50 facts this time? I'm regretting it already. The first was only 25. Why 50? Do you guys even want to know 50 facts? 50 is going to get pretty stupid. But here we go.
In March I decided to start buying cruelty-free only makeup. It's quite a change. Almost all the brands at my Walmart are now off limits. So many companies sell to mainland China. I can't buy Rimmel or Maybelline anymore. Both are two of my favourite brands. So I need to find new favourites. Elf and Colourpop, two of my other loves, are totally safe! So expect a lot of them on this list.

As soon as I started learning about Wicca I heard the term "Book of Shadows" a lot. A Book of Shadows is a watches journal, spellbook and place to keep all that is learned during their journey. Some people use a leather journal or a sketchbook. So people use a binder so they can move things around. I've considered doing that but I decided on the multiple book method. I have 3 books, a journal, a spellbook and a lexicon for all the things I learn. A Wiccan textbook if you will.
This year has been amazing for my artist side. I've been setting the goal of "make more art" for the last three years. But I always pushed it aside for blogging. But in January I started following a ton of artist YouTubers and I have been creating more art than I ever have. In 2018 I did a decent amount of digital art but this year I've been diving head first into the traditional art. Since this is the first time I've really gotten into traditional art I've gotten a lot of art supplies over the last 2 and half months. So I wanted to share my supplies as a budding artist.
Something I've decided about myself is that I want to stop supporting the mistreatment of animals as much as I can this year. I've started the road to Vegetarianism. I also decided to steer my makeup collection in the cruelty-free direction as well.
Recently I started my Wiccan Journey. I have been loving it so far. It feels like I was always meant to find it. The reviews really aligned with mine and I've always been interested in the Occult and astrology. I was pulled toward it since the moment I clicked play on Harmony Nice's video. So today I wanted to share some of the first questions I had when diving into Wicca.
So I took quite a break from doing reviews. I'm not entirely sure why but I just found that I had to push myself to write them. I dreaded sitting down to write them. So I just pushed them to the back set. But I'm finally ready to come back and do come every now and them. I thought that it was only fitting to come back with my favourite product type lippies!
