What is Influenster?

I just uploaded an unboxing of my first VoxBox from Influenster that may leave you with a few questions about Influenster.

In this post I'm going to explain what Influenster is, how it works, how you sign up, what a VoxBox is and what you can do to increase your chances of getting a box full of free goodies.

So let's get started shall we.

What is Influenster?

Influenster is a company that sends YouTubers and bloggers products free for testing a reviewing. They send you products in exchange for your honest reviews.



 
What is a VoxBox?

VoxBox is what Influenster calls the boxes they send out that are full of great products.

 


How do I sign up?

Sign up is easy. Click here and you will be taken to the signup page. Enter your email and then complete the steps that follow just like any other site or sign up with Facebook.

After signing up go to your dashboard and complete all of the "snaps." Snaps are Influenster's way of finding out what your like, your beauty product habits, products you may have tried and it all helps them determine if you fit into any upcoming programs. When completing snaps try to answer them all, if your are asked to review something you can skip those.

After completing all of the snaps, there may be a lot but you have got to do them all, go to the social impact page of your dashboard. Connect all of you social media accounts. You have to have a good impact score to be considered for a VoxBox. The higher your impact score the higher your chances of being considered for a box. Your impact score is calculated by a grand total of how many friends or follows your have on each site.


 

How does Influenster choose who gets VoxBoxes?

If they think you might be a good fit for products in an upcoming VoxBox they will send you a pre-survey. Complete it and at the end if they ask for your address fill it out and hit submit. If they ask for your address that usually means you are going to get a box. They don't store address on the site so they one get your address in the survey.

If your are selected for a pre-survey that doesn't mean you'll get a box. I was sent 4 or 5 surveys before finally getting a box. But being selected for a pre-survey means they have an eye on you and as long as your keep reviewing and keep checking and doing snaps you'll be sent another survey.




 

How do I increase my chances of getting a VoxBox?

-Connect everything! Even Google+. You can follow people on Google+ and add them to your friends circle and it will boost your Impact Score. If you have a blog add the Influenster widget. It's worth 100 impact points. Impact Score really effects whether or not you car considered for a box.

- Review Review Review! Anything you have tried. Makeup, skincare, hair care, books, movies, TV shows. Anything on the site that your have an opinion on share it. The more reviews you write the better.

- Make Lists, like "To Review" " Favorite Makeup Products" "Favorite Skincare" "Products To Try." Things like that. The more active your account the better.

- Check for Snaps and Complete them right away! Completing snaps helps keep your account active and lets Influenster know your are still on the site.

- Wait it out. Influenster wants to make sure they send you products that fit your taste and you routines. They want to make sure you'll love the products they send you. And that you haven't tried a product they are sending you. That means it may take some time before you get a box.

If you are sent a box make sure your check it in as soon as you get it. That lets Influenster know you got the box. Complete the badges for the VoxBox and the brands from the box. The more you participate in the campaign for the VoxBox you have been sent the more likely you will be sent another box.

Remember if you are sent a box you have to review the products on your blog, your YouTube channel or on Influenster. Or all three if you like. They sent the products for testing and reviews. You will also have to take a end of campaign survey about your box and your experience.

Also remember you aren't going to get a VoxBox right way. I joined in September 2015 and after 4 or 5 pre-surveys I finally got a box this month (March 2016). You may get a bunch of pre-surveys before you get you finally get a box.
